Pastor Raja Hebel was born in Visakhapatnam (Vizag), India, to a Christian mother from London and a Brahmin father from Tamil Nadu. His grandfather served in the British Army during the pre-independence era, while his mother spent much of her life growing up in India.
From an early age, his life was marked by profound personal loss. When he was just five years old, his mother passed away after battling uterine cancer. His father, who worked in the Gulf, faced rejection from his own family because he had married a British Christian woman. These circumstances brought many challenges and hardships to the family.
Seeking a better future, the family moved to Hyderabad, where Pastor Raja continued his education from the 3rd to the 10th standard.
In 1988, his father returned permanently from the Gulf to spend time with his children. Tragically, in December 1989, he passed away due to a cardiac arrest. This heartbreaking loss became another major turning point in the family's life.
The family returned to Visakhapatnam, where Pastor Raja Hebel and his sisters began working at a young age to support their education and meet daily needs. Although life presented many painful experiences, each challenge strengthened their faith, character, and dependence upon God.
These early struggles became the foundation of Pastor Raja's calling to ministry. Today, through Raja Faith Ministries, he shares the hope of Jesus Christ, encouraging people that even in the darkest seasons, God is faithful and His purpose always prevails.
